In order to begin the dialogue amongst various stakeholders, the Craft Village, a young member of World Craft Council – APR, is back with India’s Official Craft Week, but this time in its new avatar of Global Preview (Digital) in partnership with British Council, India and Garland Magazine, Australia.
In the words of Pablo Picasso, "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." Come, join us on a 3-day journey to unlearn, learn, create & conquer your knowledge and skill in Painting, Pottery, Weaving and much more.

From May 1-3, two of our Master Craftsmen will join you LIVE everyday from 12-1pm & 4-5 pm on the ICW Facebook page. In case you miss to attend the masterclass for some reason, we will be re-posting the session on our Instagram page at 1pm and 5pm, respectively.
ICW 2020 "Digital Preview" is curated with an aim to interest art & craft enthusiasts, connoisseurs, critics, collectors, and buyers. The show promises to offer an expansive line-up - from Masterclasses by National Award Winning Artisans to Symposiums with Industry Leaders & Experts; from handpicked Brands sharing their journeys to Messages from Celebrity Designers.

Save The Loom established its presence in Kerala in the aftermath of the August 2018 floods, the worst in over a century. It was necessitated by the fact that over 700 weavers, spinners and allied workers were rendered jobless with their looms and homes destroyed in the handloom and khadi clusters in North Parvaur, 30 odd kms from Kochi. The organisation is working with a clear agenda that aims to put forth its 5 E formula – Educate, Empower and Employ with concern to Ecology and Ethical in its practices.

Dhonk Craft's journey began when Divya relocated to Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan and wanted to find livelihood opportunities for the local women including the Moghiyas, to empower them and provide them with alternate sources of income. At Dhonk, the artisan, mainly women work with 3 crafts - handmade toys, sometimes using waste fabrics; hand block printing and moonj basketry, which is being practiced by the women of the Moghiya community only. We also educate them on issues related to preserving, protecting forests and the tigers.
